How to Watch the 2026 Spirit Awards Livestream Online

The 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards is set to take place on Sunday, Feb. 15, from the Hollywood Palladium, and fans can catch all of the action streaming live on YouTube.

The ceremony recognizing the best in independent film and TV, hosted by Ego Nwodim, will stream live on Film Independent and IMDb‘s YouTube channels starting at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET.

Nominations for the Independent Spirit Awards were announced in December, topped by Peter Hujar’s Day with five nods. A number of films each scored four nominations: Blue Sun Palace; Lurker; One of Them Days; Sorry, Baby; and Train Dreams. Lucky Lu, The Plague and Twinless each received three nods.

In the TV categories, Adolescence, Forever and Mr Loverman lead with four nominations apiece.

Peter Hujar’s Day; The Plague; Sorry, Baby; Train Dreams; and Twinless are all nominated for the top prize of best feature. Francis Lawrence’s The Long Walk, meanwhile, will receive the Robert Altman Award, given to a film’s director, casting director and ensemble cast.

Adolescence, Forever and Mr Loverman are all nominated for best new scripted series, alongside Common Side Effects and North of North.

Nwodim’s hosting gig comes after her surprise departure from Saturday Night Live this past fall after seven seasons on the NBC late night sketch comedy show.

She joins a long list of SNL stars to host the Spirit Awards, picking up the torch from fellow SNL alum Aidy Bryant, who hosted in 2024 and 2025. Other SNL stars-turned-Spirit Awards hosts include Melissa Villaseñor, Kate McKinnon, Fred Armisen and Andy Samberg.

Though she didn’t consult Bryant for hosting tips, Nwodim is excited about her emcee gig.

“I love the unpredictability of any kind of gig. Within reason,” Nwodim recently told The Hollywood Reporter. “We’ve moved to the Hollywood Palladium this year, for the first time since 1994, so it’s giving brand new.”

Joining Nwodim onstage are a number of star presenters including Francois Arnaud, Rose Byrne, Kaia Gerber, Judy Greer, Rebecca Hall, Robby Hoffman, Kate Hudson, Regina King, Jane Levy, Delroy Lindo, Amy Madigan, John Magaro, Lamorne Morris, Wunmi Mosaku, Wagner Moura, Kumail Nanjiani, Tig Notaro, Dylan O’Brien, Keke Palmer, Issa Rae, Natasha Rothwell, Jenny Slate, Tessa Thompson and filmmaker Lulu Wang, who is set to serve as honorary chair of this year’s ceremony.
