Hey Balwanth OTT Release: The Telugu film Hey Balwanth, featuring Suhas and Shivani Nagaram in the lead roles, hit theatres on February 20. Backed by producer B. Narendra Reddy under the Trishul Visionary Studios banner, the film is written and directed by Gopi Atchara. It has been released in cinemas by Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati through BV Works and Vamsi Nandipati Entertainments.
Currently running in theatres, the film presents itself as a drama that blends family dynamics, romance and situational conflict. The story revolves around a young man who is set to inherit his father’s business empire. However, what appears to be a straightforward transition turns complicated when he encounters an unexpected reality that challenges his assumptions about legacy and responsibility. As he navigates unfamiliar territory, he finds himself caught between personal relationships, concealed truths and the weight of family expectations.

Suhas plays the central character, while Shivani Nagaram stars opposite him. The supporting cast includes Naresh Vijaya Krishna and Sudarshan, among others. The narrative has been developed from a story by Shanmukha Prashanth, with dialogues penned by Midhun Shankar Reddy.
On the technical front, the film’s music has been composed by Vivek Sagar, with Zee Music Company handling the audio release. Cinematography is by Mahi Reddy Pandugula, and editing has been overseen by Viplav Nyshadam. Production design has been handled by A. Ram Kumaar, while Bharath Gandhi has worked on the costumes. The DI and sound mix were completed at Annapurna Studios, with Vivek Anand serving as the colourist and Kannan Ganpat managing sound mixing. Sound design is by Sai Maneendhar Reddy, and visual effects have been executed by Anilkumar Jooluri of Digital War VFX.
While Hey Balwanth is currently running in theatres, reports indicate that its post-theatrical distribution deals have already been finalised. The digital streaming rights have reportedly been acquired by ZEE5, while the satellite rights have been secured by Zee Telugu. An official streaming date is yet to be announced.
