It’s no secret that President Donald Trump wants the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates. The president has even tried to
fire Fed governor Lisa Cook and opened a criminal investigation into Fed Chair Jerome Powell in an attempt to influence the central bank.
Yet as Trump publicly calls for lower rates, investors don’t seem too hung up about whether or not they’ll get another rate cut this week.
