Funky Box Office Collection Day 6: Vishwak Sen And Kayadu Lohar Film Sees Gradual Decline In Earnings


Funky Box Office Collection: Telugu comedy Funky, starring Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar, has completed six days at the domestic box office and is now moving into Day 7 (February 19). The film, which hit theatres on February 13, opened to a steady start before witnessing the usual weekday decline.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Funky has collected an estimated ₹7.75 crore (India net) in its first six days. The film opened well but saw collections taper as the week progressed.

Opening Weekend Trend

The film began its theatrical run with ₹2.2 crore on its first Friday. However, collections saw a slight drop on Saturday, earning ₹1.9 crore. Sunday numbers dipped further to ₹1.65 crore. The first three days accounted for a major share of the film’s total so far.

The Monday decline was sharper, with collections falling to ₹0.85 crore. Tuesday saw ₹0.68 crore added to the tally, while Wednesday (Day 6) brought in an estimated ₹0.47 crore, based on early figures. The Day 6 number is currently considered rough data and may be subject to revision.

Weekday Slowdown

The box office pattern indicates a clear weekday slowdown following the initial weekend. From Friday’s ₹2.2 crore to Wednesday’s ₹0.47 crore, daily collections have steadily declined. With the total now at ₹7.75 crore after six days, attention shifts to how it performs over the coming weekend.

About The Film

Directed by Anudeep KV, Funky is a comedy centred around the chaos of film production. The story follows a filmmaker struggling to manage a troubled shoot, leading to a series of unpredictable situations and humour-driven sequences.

The screenplay has been written by Anudeep KV along with Mohan Sato. The project is produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting the film.

Apart from Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar, the cast includes Naresh and VTV Ganesh in supporting roles.

The technical crew features music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, cinematography by Suresh Sarangam, and editing by Navin Nooli.

With the film now on Day 7 of its theatrical run, the coming days will indicate whether it sees a turnaround over the weekend.
