Ashi
Singh
brings
a
striking
emotional
arc
to
Afreen,

character

sees

wanted
Afreen
to
be
relatable.
She
supports
Arif
even
when
he’s
wrong,
because
that’s
who
she
is.
She’s
human.
But
I
never
wanted
her
to
look
negative.
I
wanted
her
to
be
innocent
yet
intelligent,
so
I
focused
on
giving
her
small
emotional
moments.
She’s
always
in
her
head,
and
that
helped
me
keep
her
real
and
relatable.”
