Filmfare Awards South 2026 (Kannada) Full Winners List: Srii Murali, Akshatha Pandavapura Win At 70th Edition


Filmfare Awards South (Kannada) Winners: The 70th Filmfare Awards South, held in association with Kerala Tourism, took place on February 21 at the Adlux Convention Centre in Kochi. The annual ceremony recognised achievements across the four South Indian film industries, with the Kannada segment honouring performances and technical excellence from the year 2024. Actors, filmmakers, musicians and technicians from Kannada cinema were among those acknowledged during the evening.

In the Kannada category, Shakhahaari won the award for Best Film. The Best Director trophy was presented to Prithvi Konanur for Hadinelentu. In the Critics’ category for Best Film, Blink, directed by Srinidhi Bengaluru, received the honour.

Srii Murali won Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) for his performance in Bagheera. In the Critics’ category for Best Actor, Gowrishankar was recognised for Kerebete. Akshatha Pandavapura received the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for Koli Esru, while Ankita Amar was named Best Actress (Critics’) for Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali.

In supporting roles, Gopal Krishna Deshpande won Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) for Blink. The Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) award went to Priya Shatamarshan for Bheema.

Music awards formed an important part of the evening. Arjun Janya secured the Best Music Album award for Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi. V. Nagendra Prasad won Best Lyrics for the track “Dwapara” from Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi. In playback categories, Jaskaran Singh received Best Playback Singer (Male) for “Dwapara” from the same film, while Shruthi Prahlada won Best Playback Singer (Female) for “Hithalaka Karibyada” from Karataka Damanaka.

The debut categories also saw recognition for emerging talent. Samarjit Lankesh was named Best Debut Male for Gowri. Bindu Shivaram won Best Debut Female for her performance in Kerebete.
