70th Filmfare Awards South: The nominations for the Telugu segment of the 70th Filmfare Awards South have been announced ahead of the ceremony scheduled to take place in Kerala on February 21, 2026. The annual awards, held in association with Kerala Tourism, recognise films released in 2024 across the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada industries. With the event set for tomorrow, February 21, the Telugu nominations highlight a wide cross-section of performances and technical achievements from the past year.

In the Best Film category, the nominated titles are 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu, Committee Kurrollu, Hanu-Man, Kalki 2898 AD, Lucky Baskhar and Pushpa 2: The Rule. These films span genres ranging from mythology and action dramas to commercial entertainers and socially rooted narratives.
For Best Director, the nominees include Nag Ashwin (Kalki 2898 AD), Nanda Kishore Emani (35 Chinna Katha Kaadu), Prasanth Varma (Hanu-Man), Sukumar (Pushpa 2: The Rule), Venky Atluri (Lucky Baskhar) and Yadhu Vamsi (Committee Kurrollu).
The Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) category features Allu Arjun (Pushpa 2: The Rule), Dulquer Salmaan (Lucky Baskhar), Jr NTR (Devara: Part 1), Nani (Saripodhaa Sanivaaram), Siddhu Jonnalagadda (Tillu Square) and Teja Sajja (Hanu-Man).
In the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) category, the nominees are Anupama Parameswaran (Tillu Square), Ashika Ranganath (Naa Saami Ranga), Meenakshi Chaudhary (Lucky Baskhar), Nivetha Thomas (35 Chinna Katha Kaadu), Priyanka Mohan (Saripodhaa Sanivaaram) and Rashmika Mandanna (Pushpa 2: The Rule).
For Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male), the nominations go to Amitabh Bachchan (Kalki 2898 AD), Dhananjaya (Zebra), Fahadh Faasil (Pushpa 2: The Rule), Satya (Mathu Vadalara 2), SJ Suryah (Saripodhaa Sanivaaram) and Vinay Rai (Hanu-Man).
In the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) category, Anjali (Gangs of Godavari), Faria Abdullah (Mathu Vadalara 2), Rashi Singh Nandu (Prasanna Vadanam), Sharanya Pradeep (Ambajipeta Marriage Band), Shraddha Srinath (Mechanic Rocky) and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar (Hanu-Man) have been nominated.
The Best Music Album category includes Anirudh Ravichander (Devara: Part 1), Chaitan Bharadwaj (Harom Hara), Devi Sri Prasad (Pushpa 2: The Rule), G. V. Prakash Kumar (Lucky Baskhar), Gowra Hari, Anudeep Dev and Krishna Saurabh (Hanu-Man), Jakes Bejoy (Saripodhaa Sanivaaram) and Thaman S (Guntur Kaaram).
