F1 continues under floodlights, now in the Middle East for the final legs of the 2025 season.
Just north of the Qatari capital Doha, Lusail International Circuit is a 16-turn high speed challenge with more than 1km taken up by the main straight.
Initially hosting Moto GP races, Lusail is highlighted by the start of Sector 3 and taking the right-hand Turn 14 almost flat out ahead of the detection zone for DRS along the straight.
Temperatures are cooler now the race is scheduled a month later in the season than previously, more likely around 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). But the task will remain exhausting, for both the drivers and the tires — a 25-lap maximum stint length will be imposed this weekend to avoid any Pirelli rubber failures.
Here are the key circuit facts:
- Circuit length: 5.419 km (3.367 miles)
- Laps: 57
- Lap record: 1:22.384s (Lando Norris, 2024)
- First GP: 2021
