Anaheim Ducks center Leo Carlsson underwent thigh surgery and will be out for approximately three to five weeks, the team announced Friday.

Carlsson’s procedure took place on Friday in Los Angeles “to treat a Morel-Lavallée lesion in his left thigh,” according to the team.

The No. 2 draft pick in 2023 has 18 goals, 26 assists and 44 points in 44 games this season.

Carlsson has not been ruled out of playing for Team Sweden at the Olympics, which are three and a half weeks away. The team will see how he recovers over the next two weeks, but he is holding out hope that he will be good enough to play in Milan.
