The Miami Dolphins are hiring Bobby Slowik as their offensive coordinator, a team source told The Athletic.

Slowik, 38, spent the 2025 season as the Dolphins’ senior passing game coordinator. He is being retained by new head coach Jeff Hafley, who was hired earlier this week. Hafley and Slowik worked together as members of the San Francisco 49ers’ coaching staff in 2017 and 2018.

Slowik served as offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans in 2023 and 2024; he was fired following the team’s loss in the 2024 AFC divisional round. Slowik was hired by Houston in 2023 under first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans and helped guide an offense led by then-rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. The Texans ranked No. 12 in average yards (342.4) and tied for No. 13 in points per game (22.2) that season.

That unit took a step back in Stroud’s sophomore campaign, finishing 22nd and 19th in those respective categories in 2024.

In his first season with the Dolphins, Miami’s passing game ranked No. 25 in the NFL with 180.5 yards per game. The Dolphins, however, dealt with injuries and a down season from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who threw a career-high 15 interceptions and was benched in favor of seventh-round rookie Quinn Ewers late in the season.

Following the 2025 season, the Dolphins fired head coach Mike McDaniel.
