Dhurandhar Netflix Runtime Truth: Ranveer Singh returned to theatres with Dhurandhar last month, and the film managed to create history by breaking many box office records. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film performed better than early predictions and turned out to be an all-time blockbuster.

Following its theatrical run, viewers were waiting for updates about the film’s OTT release. That wait has now ended, as Dhurandhar officially arrived on Netflix today (January 30) leaving fans excited.

DHURANDHAR NETFLIX VERSION TRIMMED BY 9 MINUTES?

While some fans celebrated the digital release of Dhurandhar, several users on X claimed that the version available online is around 9 minutes shorter. This surprised many viewers as earlier reports stated that the theatrical runtime of the film is 3 hours and 34 minutes.

On Netflix, including the post-credit scene, the film currently runs for about 3 hours and 25 minutes. This led to online discussions, with some viewers suggesting that nearly nine minutes of footage may have been trimmed in the OTT version. However, the truth is finally out.

DHURANDHAR NETFLIX RUNTIME TRUTH REVEALED

A source informed us that Netflix hasn’t trimmed nine minutes of Dhurandhar. In fact, the difference is of just three minutes due to elements like interval plates or in-theatre ad requirements. However, no scenes from the movie have been trimmed or cut in the OTT version.

Revealing the truth, the source informed, “It is the same as the theatrical / CBFC-approved version. As with all theatrical films, the three-minute runtime difference is due to elements such as interval plates or in-theatre ad requirements that do not carry over to digital platforms. This is business as usual and standard practice when films transition from cinemas to streaming.”

For those unaware, Dhurandhar is planned as a two-part gangster saga. The film features a strong ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan.

The first part dives deep into the dark and violent underworld of Karachi, focusing on gang rivalries and power struggles. Meanwhile, the second part, which is currently expected to release around Eid 2026, is likely to shift the narrative towards Ranveer Singh’s character and India’s response to Pakistan over terror-related activities.
