returned
to
direction
after
six
years
with
the
2025
political
thriller
Dhurandhar,
which
has
already
opened
strongly
at
the
box
office.
The
film
came
after
Aditya
Dhar’s
2019
hit
Uri:
The
Surgical
Strike,
raising
expectations
within
both
industry
circles
and
audiences.
Dhurandhar
drew
its
core
story
from
real
incidents
tied
to
gangs
and
organised
crime
operating
across
the
Pakistan
border.
The
narrative
is
shaped
by
tensions
involving
India’s
external
intelligence
agency
RAW
and
Operation
Lyari,
set
against
Karachi’s
troubled

neighbourhood.

occupancy
of
70.07%
on
day
1.

it
has
managed

recorded
a
footfall
twice
more
than
War
2
which
happens
to
be
35.99%.
However,
Dhurandhar
failed
to
beat
Simmba’s
evening
occupancy
on
day
3
which
was
around
75%

the

crossing

during

collection
stands
at
Rs
31.21cr
at
7:30
pm
and
the
total
collection
of
Dhurandhar
turned
out
to
be

91.21cr.
