emerging
as
a
clear

of
the

Backed

(Week

In
a
notable
post-release
move,
the
makers
of
Dhurandhar
approached
the
Central
Board
of
Film
Certification
(CBFC)
to
implement
selective
edits.
These
changes
reportedly
involved
muting
certain
dialogues
containing
the
words
“Baloch”
and
“intelligence,”
which
were
considered
sensitive
by
specific
communities.
The
edited
version
was
re-released
on
January
1,
giving
the
film
a
renewed
push
during
the
festive
period.
Benefiting
from
the
New
Year
holiday
boost,
Dhurandhar
witnessed
a
strong
surge
in
collections
on
Day
28.
The
film
recorded
an
impressive
43.18%
growth
on
New
Year’s
Day,
minting
around
₹15.75
crore
at
the
domestic
box
office.
According
to
Sacnilk,
this
festive
jump
has
pushed
the
film’s
four-week
total
to
₹106.5
crore,
reaffirming
its
blockbuster
status
and
highlighting
its
sustained
pull
even
in
the
fourth
week
of
its
theatrical
run.

Early
Trend
(5th
Friday)
After
delivering
an
exceptional
run
over
four
solid
weeks,
Dhurandhar
has
shown
signs
of
a
natural
slowdown
on
its
fifth
Friday.
As
per
real-time
data
from
Sacnilk,
the
film
has
maintained
a
steady
but
softer
pace
today
(January
2),
collecting
approximately
₹2.79
crore
by
5:00
PM.
With
these
early
figures
added
in,
Dhurandhar’s
overall
box
office
total
now
stands
at
around
₹741.79
crore,
continuing
its
massive
run
despite
the
expected
dip
in
daily
collections.

Box

At
the
ticket
counters,
Dhurandhar
has
already
outperformed
major
competitors,
including
Hollywood’s
Avatar:
Fire
and
Ash
(Avatar

and
the
Kartik
Aaryan-Ananya
Panday

Now,
the
Dhurandhar
wave
has
extended
its
impact
to
Agastya
Nanda’s
Ikkis,
with
Ranveer
Singh’s
action
spectacle
continuing
to
pull
crowds
and
overshadowing
new
releases.
Even
with
a
slight
dip
in
daily
collections,
Ranveer
Singh’s
Dhurandhar
continues
to
dominate
the
box
office
and
has
clearly
eclipsed
Ikkis,
starring
Agastya
Nanda
and
marking
Dharmendra’s
final
film
appearance.
The
contrast
in
their
box
office
trajectories
is
hard
to
miss.
Directed
by
Sriram
Raghavan
and
inspired
by
the
life
of
Arun
Khetarpal,
Ikkis
hit
theatres
yesterday
with
an
opening
of
around
₹7
crore.
However,
the
film
witnessed
a
sharp
decline
on
its
second
day.
As
per
early
estimates,
it
has
managed
to
collect
only
about
₹80
lakh
till
5:00
PM
today,
pushing
its
current
total
to
roughly
₹7.8
crore.
In
comparison,
Dhurandhar
continues
to
pull
audiences
even
in
its
fifth
week,
reinforcing
its
strong
hold
over
cinema
halls
and
underlining
its
clear
lead
in
the
box
office
clash.
