Dhurandhar 2 Shooting Controversy: Ranveer Singh Dhurandhar The Revenge In Trouble With BMC

Frontlined by Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar 2 aka Dhurandhar The Revenge’s production house – Aditya Dhar’s B62 Studios – has run into trouble with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over shooting-related issues. According to the Indian Express, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken serious note of the situation and sought strict action against the production team.

Officials claim that the film’s production house, B62 Studios, repeatedly breached safety and permission guidelines while filming. The controversy reportedly stems from a shoot conducted on a building terrace where two generator vans were allegedly used without proper approvals from civic authorities.

In response, the civic body has recommended a penalty of ₹1 lakh and has also moved to permanently blacklist the production house from applying for future filming permissions. As part of the action, the ₹25,000 security deposit submitted during the permission process has reportedly been forfeited.

Reports further suggest that the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC) of Zone 1’s A Ward office cleared the proposal for further action, following which two other applicants connected to the production were also restricted from submitting fresh permission requests through the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited.

Officials revealed that permission for filming on February 7 and 8, between Modi Street and Perin Nariman Street in Mumbai’s A Ward, was granted on January 30 via the Maharashtra Film, Stage and Cultural Development Corporation Limited. However, authorities alleged that the production team breached police guidelines that strictly prohibited the use of firecrackers or any flammable materials on set.

Following these alleged violations, a new request was filed by Komal Pokhriyal to shoot on February 13 and 14. The application was rejected, with officials citing the earlier rule breaches. Another proposal was then submitted for filming between 12:30 am and 4:00 am on February 14. This time, the applicant reportedly assured officials that no hazardous materials would be used, leading to conditional approval.

But the controversy didn’t end there. Around 12:45 am on February 14, police allegedly received complaints about burning torches being used during the shoot. A senior BMC officer stated that officials reached the spot within minutes and confiscated five lit torches, further escalating the issue.
