Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate, much criticized for error-strewn performances this season, conceded a penalty in what turned into a match-defining moment in his team’s 3-3 draw away to Leeds on Saturday.
As things stand right now, Konate will be out of contract at the end of the season, and whatever happens on that front, Liverpool obviously need defensive reinforcements. They came close to signing Marc Guehi this summer, and former Red Jamie Redknapp believes the Crystal Palace captain would be a perfect fit.
