Producer and real estate developer C. J. Roy was found dead at the corporate office of the Confident Group in Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru. According to initial reports, Roy died by suicide after sustaining a gunshot wound. The incident reportedly occurred while officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) were present at the premises as part of an ongoing investigation linked to the business group.
Roy, the founder and owner of the Confident Group, was a well-known name in South India’s real estate sector, with projects spread across multiple cities. Reports suggest that the incident took place inside the company’s headquarters, triggering an immediate emergency response. Personnel from the Ashok Nagar police station reached the spot soon after and began preliminary procedures, including securing the area and initiating an inquiry.

C. J. Roy was a native of Kochi, Kerala, and had business interests that extended beyond real estate.
