According to Teamtalk, Murillo is set to leave Nottingham Forest at the end of the season, and there’s plenty of interest in the services of the 23-year-old centre-back. At this stage, Liverpool and Chelsea are believed to have progressed furthest in that front.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool are planning to reconstruct their respective centre-back departments. The London Blues are said to be open to offers for Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill (heavily linked with Liverpool in the past) and Trevoh Chalobah. The Merseyside Reds have already won a race against Chelsea for a centre-back – Jeremy Jaquet is set to join from Rennes in the summer, and Giovanni Leoni is expected to return from ACL injury for the pre-season, but there’s uncertainty around the future of Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez and they’re expected to move for another, more established defender.
As for Forest, they are resigned to the prospect of Murillo pushing to leave, being aware of his desire to take the next step. No price tag has been put on the Brazilian, but they’re expected to demand well over £50million for a player with three years left on his contract.
