Call Me Bae 2 Goes On Floors: Singer-Actor Lisa Mishra Talks About Juggling Between Music & Acting In 2026

As the entertainment industry continues to push artists toward singular identities, singer and actor Lisa Mishra is consciously choosing a different path. Looking ahead to 2026, Lisa is focused on expanding her creative universe across both music and acting, without sacrificing one for the other, and without conforming to the idea that she must “pick a lane”, something that the business often makes an artist do. Shooting for Call Me Bae is already underway, and shoot is progressing with its schedule.

With new music projects in development and a growing slate of acting projects that are set in the pipeline, she sees her career not as as a singular approach but as a diverse array of her potential talents she wants to explore.

Reflecting on this phase of her journey, Lisa shares, “Music trained my emotions, acting trained my silence. When I started out as a singer, I learned how to feel deeply and express without filters using the power of my voice and the music that flows. Acting later taught me the value of restraint, of pauses, and of letting stillness speak. As I look toward 2026, I’m excited to keep experimenting in both spaces. I am currently juggling between working on music and acting work simultaneously and that really excites me. I don’t want to abandon music to act, or act at the cost of music”.

She also acknowledges that the pressure to be categorized is real, “People often want to simplify you into one version or one stream of work. But I don’t experience my creativity that way. I’m constantly evolving, and experimentation is what keeps me honest as an artist,” she adds. “I don’t think now that i have been working as an actor i would do away one without the other. I want to be able to do justice to do both and hopefully excel in work that truly excites me. In fact i feel, working on singing or acting motivates me as an artist in each of these fields. Entertaining audiences is the larger goal for me, and that’s what i set to do this year, on stage and on screen”.
