- Bad Bunny handed one of his recently won Grammys to a young boy during his Super Bowl LX halftime show.
- Some viewers speculated that the young boy was in fact Liam Ramos, whose recent detention and subsequent release by Immigration and Customs Enforcement became the subject of national scrutiny.
- Entertainment Weekly can confirm that the child featured during the halftime show was not Ramos, but child actor Lincoln Fox.
One of the sweetest moments of Bad Bunny‘s big Super Bowl LX halftime performance quickly became one of the most speculated on: Did the Puerto Rican superstar gift one of his Grammys to Liam Ramos, the 5-year-old Minnesotan recently detained and released by ICE?
The suggestion set the internet ablaze with speculation shortly after Bad Bunny made the gesture around the halftime show’s midpoint. Viewers watching in real time joined those taken in by clips of the moment shared to social media, as some claimed a similarity in appearance between the child in question and Ramos, who was detained in Minneapolis alongside his father on Jan. 20 by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, and released on Feb. 1 after spending over a week in a Texas detention facility.
Speculation was fueled by rising tension between Bad Bunny and the Trump administration, with the former criticizing the latter’s immigration policies, and the latter threatening to send ICE agents to the Super Bowl. Bad Bunny’s action seemed another condemnation of Donald Trump’s increasingly unpopular deployment strategy in cities like Minneapolis.
Entertainment Weekly can now confirm that the child is not in fact Liam Ramos, but child actor Lincoln Fox.

Shortly after obtaining confirmation that Ramos did not visit Santa Clara to take part in Bad Bunny’s halftime show, Fox shared a clip of the moment to his Instagram account.
“I’ll remember this day forever!” he wrote, tagging the “NUEVAYoL” singer. “It was my truest honor 🐰🏆🏈.”
Bad Bunny won three Grammys on Sunday, Feb. 1 — Best Música Urbana Album and Album of the Year for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, and Best Global Musical Performance for “EoO.”
They weren’t his first Grammy awards, as he won in 2021, 2022, and 2023 in the Musica Urbana and Best Latin Pop or Urban Album categories.
Fox, who is half Argentinian and half Egyptian. and two adults — either his parents or grandparents or actors posing in those roles — watched Bad Bunny win one of his Grammys on a TV screen moments before the singer handed Fox the award, seemingly signifying the star’s impact on the rising generation of Latinos in America.

The 31-year old Latin trap sensation, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio and who was born in the Puerto Rican metropole of Bayamón, crammed his halftime performance full of tributes to Latin-American culture and community. He featured Los Angeles-based taco shop Villa’s Tacos, for example, by guiding his legion of dancers toward a countertop griddle that prominently displayed their logo.
He also invited several well-known entertainers of Latin descent to participate in the performance with him, including Pedro Pascal, Karol G, Jessica Alba, Cardi B, as well as fellow Puerto Rican Ricky Martin, who performed one song during the event among Bad Bunny’s medley of hits. Lady Gaga, who also appeared, performed a salsa reimagining of her smash single “Die With a Smile.”
