The war drama, released on 23 January, stormed the box office in its first days. Strong opening numbers across major cinema chains turned the film into a key talking point among viewers. On the other hand, the total worldwide collection of Border 2 happens to be Rs 403cr. While Border 2 has been comparisons with Dhurandhar, the latter has been maintaing a lead over Varun starrer. For the uninitiated, Dhurandhar had earned Rs 8cr in the overseas on day 14 taking the total collection to Rs 158cr while the total worldwide collection was Rs 710.58cr after 14 days of release

Given the fact that it is a working day, Border 2 will be seen having a steady hold in the overseas and is likely to earn Rs 40-45 lakhs again today (day 15/ third Friday). While Border 2 will be crossing Rs 52cr mark in the overseas and will also be entering Rs 405cr club worldwide. In fact, Border 2 will be crossing the lifetime worldwide collection of Salman Khan’s popular release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 405.85cr)
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan, who played the role of an Indian Army soldier for the first time on the big screen, spoke about Border and said, “A battle #border2.A film that really pushed me to my limits.
