Border 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 5: Border 2 has been one of the most anticipated releases of 2026 for several reasons. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 has been a war drama which is the sequel to the 1997 release Border. To note, Border 2 marks Sunny Deol’s return to the franchise after almost 30 years. While Sunny Deol plays the role of Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, the movie comes with a stellar cast including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, Ahan Shetty and Mona Singh. Needless to say, Border 2 has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Interestingly, Border 2 revolves around the 1971 India vs Pakistan war and features Varun Dhawan as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, Diljit as Fg Offr Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon and Ahan Shetty as Lt Cdr Mahendra Singh Rawat. Border 2 opened to decent reviews in India and across the world and emerged as Varun Dhawan’s highest opener and Sunny Deol’s second highest opener of all times. According to a report in Sacnilk, Border 2 made a collection of Rs 2.5cr in overseas on day 5 (first Tuesday) which took the overall overseas collection of Rs 37.25cr after 5 days of release. On the other hand, Border 2 made a total worldwide collection

To note, Border 2 has been facing frequent comparisons with Dhurandhar and this Sunny starrer has failed to beat the latter in the overseas market on the 5th day of release. To note, Dhurandhar had minted Rs 8cr in the overseas day 5

Meanwhile, Border 2 has entered the coveted Rs 200cr club in the Indian market as well and emerged as Varun Dhawan’s highest grossing film of all time in India. It will be interesting to see if Border 2 will touch Rs 300cr mark in week 1.
