Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 11: Sunny Deol has all the reasons to be on cloud nine these days. After all, his recent release Border 2 has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs and even won millions of hearts. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 features Sunny Deol returning to Border 2 franchise after 29 years and shares the screen with Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Anya Singh, Medha Rana. For the uninitiated, Border 2 is the sequel to the cult classic 1997 release Border and focusses on the India vs Pakistan war.
Touted to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year, Border 2 marks director Anurag Singh’s first collaboration with Sunny Deol and Ahan Shetty, second with Varun Dhawan, and eighth with Diljit Dosanjh. Released amid a massive buzz, Border 2 opened to rave reviews from the audience and critics alike and witnessed a good start at the box office. In fact, after witnessing a dip in numbers during the first week, Border 2 saw an impressive hike in collections during the second weekend.

However, Border 2 witnessed a sharp dip in numbers on the second Monday. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Border 2 saw a dip of over 74% in numbers and earned Rs 5.75cr which happens to be its lowest single day collection ever. This took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 281cr after 11 days
Border 2 Beats Kabir Singh Lifetime Collection
With a total collection of Rs 281cr, Border 2 has managed to surpass the lifetime collection of Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh which happens to be Rs 278.8cr
Meanwhile, talking about Border 2 success, Anurag Singh told Bollywood Hungama, “We knew the emotions were working and were sure that audience would connect with those emotions. As far as the numbers are concerned, everyone had their guesses. I knew that the numbers would happen if the audience likes the film.”
