Bhoot Bangla release date: Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi have kicked off promotions for their upcoming horror comedy Bhoot Bangla, starting a publicity tour that begins in Nashik and marks Wamiqa Gabbi’s first on-screen collaboration with Akshay Kumar.

They were spotted travelling in matching white shirts and blue denim, as they headed out for the first promotional leg in Nashik, with Wamiqa Gabbi sharing journey photos from the road on social media platforms. “Heading towards Nashik… starting first day of promotions of Bhoot Bangla… need your wishes and prayers.”

Bhoot Bangla release date, promotions and Priyadarshan reunion

Bhoot Bangla is directed by Priyadarshan, and the project reunites Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar on a film set after 14 years, adding another layer of interest as promotions get going and audiences look forward to seeing the new pairing on screen.

The project is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in association with Cape of Good Films. Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor back the film. The story of “Bhooth Bangla” is written by Akash A Kaushik, with the screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan, while Rohan Shankar also handles the dialogues.

The core ensemble for the drama features Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta and Asrani, among others. Priyadarshan and Akshay earlier worked on popular titles such as “Hera Pheri”, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”, “Garam Masala” and “Khatta Meetha”. Their latest collaboration, “Bhoot Bangla”, aims to blend horror and comedy in a familiar mainstream format.

Alongside “Bhoot Bangla”, Wamiqa continues to expand work in Hindi cinema. Wamiqa will also appear with Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan in “Pati Patni Aur Woh Do”. With major names attached on and off screen, “Bhoot Bangla” heads towards its April 10 release with growing attention from audiences.
