Barnsley are interested in signing Ben Osborn from Derby County in the summer of 2026, according to Sports Boom. The former Nottingham Forest midfielder is on loan at Stockport County from Derby County at the end of the season, and Barnsley’s plan is to secure his services should The Hatters not make it permanent.
Osborn has made 22 appearances for Stockport so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. Dave Challinor’s side are fourth in the League One table at the moment with 49 points from 28 matches, six points behind second-placed Lincoln City.
Barnsley are 15th in the League One table at the moment with 33 points from 24 matches, just three points above the relegation zone. As for Derby, the Rams currently find themselves 11th in the Championship standings with 42 points from 29 games, just two points behind sixth-placed Wrexham.
