Ashakal Aayiram Box Office Collection Day 3: Opening Weekend Performance Of Jayaram And Kalidas Jayaram Film

Ashakal Aayiram Box Office Collection: Ashakal Aayiram, starring Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram, has completed its first three days at the box office following its theatrical release on February 6. As of today, February 9 (Day 4), the Malayalam film has moved into its weekday run after closing its opening weekend with steady but moderate collections.

According to early estimates reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, Ashakal Aayiram has earned approximately ₹1.8 crore (India net) across its first three days in theatres. The film opened to ₹0.46 crore on its first day (Friday), followed by a rise on Saturday with collections of about ₹0.62 crore. The upward trend continued on Sunday, with Day 3 figures estimated at ₹0.72 crore. These numbers helped the film close its opening weekend on a cumulative total of ₹1.8 crore.

The day-wise growth suggests that the film benefited from weekend footfalls rather than a strong initial surge on its opening day. Sunday emerged as the highest-grossing day of the opening stretch, indicating relatively better audience turnout during the holiday compared to the working-day release start.

Cast, Crew And Story Overview

Directed by G. Prajith, Ashakal Aayiram is produced by Gokulam Gopalan and Krishnamoorthy under the banners of Sree Gokulam Movies and Gokulam Productions. The film brings together a multi-generational cast, with Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram sharing screen space alongside actors including Asha Sharath, Sharafudheen, Ishani Krishna, Ramesh Pisharody, and Kunchan, among others.

The story revolves around Ajeesh Hariharan, popularly known as “Junior Prince” on social media, a carefree youngster with dreams of becoming a film star. His routine life takes an unexpected turn when the shooting of a superstar’s film begins in his neighbourhood, bringing him closer to the world he has long aspired to be part of. The narrative focuses on ambition, chance encounters, and the contrast between ordinary life and cinematic dreams.

The technical team includes cinematography by Swaroop Philip, editing by Shafeeque V. B., and music composed by Sanal Dev. The screenplay has been written by Aravind Rajendran and Jude Anthany Joseph, who also serves as the film’s creative director.

With the opening weekend now concluded, attention shifts to how Ashakal Aayiram holds up during the weekdays. Monday and the subsequent working days are expected to be crucial in determining whether the film can maintain momentum or see a slowdown typical of post-weekend trends at the box office.
