Prime Video has set a global premiere for “Subedaar,” an action-drama starring Anil Kapoor (“Slumdog Millionaire”) and Radhikka Madan (“The Man Who Feels No Pain”). A teaser has been unveiled.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, known for his work on “Tumhari Sulu,” “Jalsa” and “Daldal,” the project is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Kapoor and Triveni through Opening Image Films in association with Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network.
The film centers on Subedaar Arjun Maurya, a retired soldier navigating a world where his traditional values face modern challenges. Kapoor’s character confronts crime and corruption while dealing with strained family relationships. Set in India’s heartland, the film is a positioned as a cinematic, gritty and intense exploration of honor in the midst of societal decay.
Triveni and Prajwal Chandrashekar penned the screenplay. The supporting cast includes Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik and Mona Singh in key roles.

Vikram Malhotra, partner at Opening Image Films and producer of the project, described the film as featuring “a never-seen-before lead character who is shaped by service, discipline, and sacrifice.” He added that the collaboration brought together the right creative voices to authentically build the world of the story.
“With superstar and powerhouse actor Anil Kapoor at the centre, the film offers audiences a compelling cinematic experience like never-before exclusively on Prime Video,” Malhotra said.
The film will be available in the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. “Subedaar” premieres on Prime Video on March 5.
