andBeyond evolves leadership structure to support global growth and long-term impact | News

As andBeyond rapidly expands across Africa, Asia and South America, our Scaling Impact 2030 ambition to help protect more of our world’s irreplaceable places requires a leadership structure designed for global growth, specialist excellence and long-term impact.

The updated structure, effective 01 March 2026, is designed around specialist focus, with dedicated leadership for world-class lodges, camps and yachts, and tailormade tour operations. This allows each area of the business to benefit from deep expertise while remaining fully integrated under the andBeyond brand.

As part of this evolution, Mark Wheeler has been appointed President, andBeyond Group, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business globally. This enables Joss Kent, Executive Chairman and CEO, to focus more on long-term strategy, impact, business development, growth partnerships, government and other stakeholder engagement, as well as strengthening relationships across our global trade network.

All leadership appointments within the new structure have been made from within the organisation, combining long-standing experience with fresh perspectives. This ensures continuity, preserves andBeyond’s unique culture and DNA, and supports consistent delivery as we expand into new regions.

Niall Anderson: Chief Operating Officer Lodges, Camps & Yachts: Niall is now responsible for andBeyond’s global lodge, camp and yacht portfolio, ensuring one consistent standard, strategy and guest experience across Africa, Asia and South America.

Kevin Pretorius: Managing Director South America Lodges, Camps and Yachts & Growth: Kevin will move to Santiago, Chile, from South Africa to lead andBeyond’s lodge and expedition yacht growth in South America, exporting the brand’s culture, standards and long-standing expertise into a new region.

Riaan Venter: Group Guest Experience Director: Riaan has been promoted to drive and develop the guest experience across andBeyond’s global lodge, camp and yacht portfolio, ensuring consistent standards, innovation and exceptional delivery worldwide. He will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Brendan Streak: Managing Director South Africa Lodges: Brendan has been promoted to lead andBeyond’s South African lodge portfolio, with responsibility for Phinda Private Game Reserve, Ngala Private Game Reserve and the continued evolution of the brand’s founding landscapes.

Jason King: Managing Director Southern Africa Lodges & Asia Growth: Jason will lead lodge operations across Southern Africa, spearheading frontier conservation business development initiatives in Africa, and driving the development of andBeyond’s future lodge portfolio in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan together with Suhail Gupta, Managing Director andBeyond Asia.

For our trade partners, this evolution reinforces our commitment to:
• long-term, sustainable growth
• consistent product and guest experience
• clarity of leadership and accountability
• strong, collaborative trade partnerships

Our purpose remains unchanged: to create journeys that go beyond the expected in the world’s most irreplaceable places, delivered with integrity, expertise and full impact, leaving our world a better place wherever we operate. This strengthened structure ensures we are well positioned to do so together with you, our trusted partners, well into the future.
