AKASH JAGGA ON BIDDING ADIEU TO BEENDANI AFTER GENERATION LEAP
As Beendani heads into a generation leap with new leads taking charge, Akash has officially bid goodbye to the show. In an exclusive chat with Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Aakash Kumar, Akash Jagga opened up about his decision to step away from the show, exploring new opportunities, and more.
Speaking about his exit from Beendani, the talented actor shared, “Beendani has been a very special journey for me. When you live with a character day in and day out, it becomes more than just a show; it becomes a part of your routine, your emotions, your growth as an actor.”
He admitted that moving on was not easy. “Saying goodbye is never easy, but I’m extremely grateful for all the love the audience has given to Kundan and for the people I’ve worked with on this show. It’s a chapter I’ll always look back at with a lot of warmth,” he added.
Opening up about the generation leap and the decision to step away, Akash said the timing felt right. “With the generation leap and new leads coming in, it felt like a natural turning point. Of course, there are mixed emotions; you get attached, but as an actor, you also understand that stories evolve.” He further mentioned, “I respect the creative decision, and I’m thankful for the journey. I believe every phase has its own time, and this felt like the right moment to step forward.”
WILL AKASH JAGGA TAKE A BREAK FROM TV AFTER BEENDANI?
On whether he plans to take a break from television, Akash clarified that he is being selective rather than stepping away completely. “I’m not really looking at it as a break, but more as a phase of choosing wisely. I am exploring opportunities, and at the same time, I’m giving myself the space to wait for the right kind of work rather than rushing into something,” he said. Emphasising the commitment television demands, he added, “Television is a long commitment, so I want to be sure about what I take up next.”
With his consistent growth and strong performances, Akash Jagga remains one of the most promising young actors on Indian television. His fans are now eagerly waiting to see him headline a big show on a top GEC, confident that his journey as a leading star is only just beginning.
