After Ranveer Singh, Aayush Sharma Receives A Threat E-Mail From Lawrence Bishnoi Gang – Report

Security concerns in Bollywood have grown after a series of threats and a firing incident in Mumbai, with actor Aayush Sharma now receiving an alleged email warning linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, only days after a WhatsApp extortion threat to Ranveer Singh and a shooting outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu home.

According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, Aayush Sharma, who is married to Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan, gets the threatening email on Wednesday, 11 February. The message, reportedly routed through Proton Mail, is said to come from someone claiming a connection with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and investigators note deliberate attempts to mask the sender’s identity.

Aayush Sharma threat email and pattern of recent Bollywood threats

Officials highlight that Aayush Sharma’s case appears part of a larger pattern, following an earlier message to Ranveer Singh and the separate shooting episode at Rohit Shetty’s residence. In both reported threat communications to Aayush and Ranveer, police sources state that technology, including VPN services and encrypted platforms, was used to avoid easy tracing.

The threat to Aayush Sharma is reported only days after Ranveer Singh, known for films like Dhurandhar, receives an extortion message through WhatsApp. While Ranveer is contacted via a voice note allegedly sent using a VPN, Aayush is targeted through an encrypted email provider, suggesting coordinated methods to hide digital footprints in the Aayush Sharma threat email sequence.

Aayush Sharma threat email linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang probe

Investigators are already examining whether the Aayush Sharma threat email connects with wider activity attributed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Previous incidents involving entertainment figures have drawn similar suspicion, and officers are now comparing timings, platforms used, and phrasing of messages to check for common planning or shared handlers behind these communications.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone strengthen security at their Mumbai residence after the WhatsApp threat. The sender allegedly demands around ₹10 crore in the voice note, according to a Hindustan Times report. Police are looking at possible links between this demand, the Aayush Sharma threat email and earlier cases tied to the Lawrence Bishnoi network targeting public personalities.

Aayush Sharma threat email and Rohit Shetty firing investigation details

Alongside the Aayush Sharma threat email case, fear in the film industry has intensified after five shots are fired outside Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence. The Mumbai Crime Branch states that the vehicle used in the firing comes from Pune, adding another layer to ongoing investigations connecting transport routes, local contacts, and hired shooters.

Police say the vehicle belongs to a Pune resident, who sells it to accused Aditya Gayki for Rs 30000 only a few days before the firing. Aditya Gayki and another accused, Samarth Pomaji, allegedly leave the vehicle at a fixed spot in Juhu, unaware of the shooter’s identity, before Shubham Lonkar reportedly instructs the shooter to collect it and carry out the attack.
