The American Cinema Editors have nominated “F1,” “Sentimental Value” and “Sinners” in the category of feature film drama.
Despite being snubbed by the Oscars, “Wicked: For Good” editor Myron Kerstein was nominated for the best edited film comedy/theatrical. It’s worth noting that ACE voting closed the same day the Oscar nominations came out.
Rounding out the feature film drama nominations were “Hamnet” and “Weapons.”
“Bugonia,” “Marty Supreme,” “One Battle After Another” and “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” were nominated in the best edited film comedy/theatrical category.
“The Studio,” “Pluribus,” “The Pitt” and “Severance” are among the TV shows that were nominated. A tie for best edited feature film (non-theatrical) led to four nominees.
The ACE Eddies recognize outstanding editing in film, television, documentaries, shorts and digital content. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Feb. 27 at UCLA’s Royce Hall.
As previously announced, Ang Lee is set to receive the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award, Kim Larson & YouTube Will Receive the ACE Visionary Award, and Film Editors Arthur Forney, ACE, and Robert Leighton Will Receive ACE Career Achievement Awards.
