Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club (ADEC), the Abu Dhabi Turf Club (ADTC) will host the 33rd UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses on December 6, 2025.
The 2200-meter Group 1 race is a highlight of the season, renowned for its prestige, record-breaking prize money, and fierce competition among champion horses. It will bring together elite jockeys and the finest purebred Arabians to compete for a share of the total prize purse of AED 10.8 million, with racing fans from around the world eager to follow the action. The event is recognized as the Abu Dhabi Turf Club’s most lucrative night of the season. It will feature the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabians, along with other high-profile races, including the Group 3 Yass Sprint, the UAE Breeders’ Cup, and the Abu Dhabi Derby.
The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan inaugurated the first edition of the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses in 1994, reaffirming the importance of the breed, showcasing its exceptional qualities on the track, and preserving this legacy as an integral part of the country’s traditions.
His Excellency Ali Al Shaiba, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and the Abu Dhabi Turf Club, noted that the support of leaders for purebred Arabian horses has been instrumental in restoring their prestige, enhancing their prominence, and elevating their presence on the international stage. Visitors can expect a full program of entertainment showcasing Emirati heritage and culture. Children aged 6 to 12 are invited to participate in the National Emirati Costume Competition, and photography enthusiasts can join the UAE President’s Cup Photography Contest. Inspired by the motifs of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, an immersive jalsa will offer an artistic visual experience.
For food lovers, Strawfire, the premium restaurant at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, will offer a specially curated menu. The diverse entertainment program includes traditional performances showcasing the UAE’s heritage. A spectacular drone show will culminate the celebrations, illuminating the sky and captivating all the guests.
