As we get into the 2026 fantasy baseball rankings, a few notes … or pre-answers to possible questions.

Your team construction can alter category needs during the draft, thereby changing the value of each player and position. This is why you (if I can get philosophical for a minute) shouldn’t focus much on the overall rankings for hitters and/or pitchers while drafting. That’s also why I don’t recommend drafting based on overall rankings, though they’re included for those who still do. There are too many factors and variables for each pick — in each very different draft you do — to say definitively that a hitter or pitcher is more valuable.

With all that said, the 2026 fantasy baseball rankings (5×5 Roto) are below, and if a player has position eligibility on any major site, he’ll show under all those eligible positions. If you have questions or need clarification, feel free to post them in the comments.

If you want this in a downloadable spreadsheet with auction values and projections, you can find it here. And of course, the big one, the customizable projections cheat sheet… which is possibly all you need!

Reminders

  • ECR is “expert consensus rank.”
    • Not always 100% up to date for all contributors
    • Skews more in the overall hitters and pitchers lists (hence not getting too hung up on overall ranks)
  • I will update these, so check back after any major news. You might have to give me a “few minutes,” but I’ll be tweaking all preseason.
  • Feel free to jump in the comments with questions.
